2006 Syrah - Horse Heaven Hills "Alder Creek Vineyard" Winemaker’s Tasting Notes and Comments 2006 brings the second vintage of this Horse Heaven Hills vineyard. Building upon our experience with the 2005, it continues to show lean and lithe, with a European style wine shows tight fruit flavors with incredible tannins formed by the winds of the Columbia Gorge. A fantastic counterpoint to our Clifton Hill Syrah, this wine truly shows the difference of terroir. Only 284 cases produced. Rated "88" by Wine Enthusiast magazine! The Vineyard Alder Creek Vineyard is located in the Horse Heaven Hills AVA. Situated on a ridge overlooking the Columbia River and Oregon on the other side, this is a cooler site and is influenced by winds coming up the Columbia Gorge. Pricing $20
